On June 3, 2015 Inatsisartut - the Greenlandic parliament - adopted two new laws: Law on ports in Greenland, which deals with the general operation of ports in Greenland and the Act on Sikuki Nuuk Harbour, which gives Sikuki Nuuk Harbour A/S right to operate the port of Nuuk.
